Fine Dining at Apo View’s Entrée Restaurant

Yesterday, after attending the Kadayawan press conference I had the opportunity to dine at Apo View Hotel’s Entrée Restaurant, one of Davao’s finest buffet restaurants.

The buffet restaurant offers delectable courses – from appetizers to desserts.

I first tried their deep fried salami, fried rice with mushroom and garlic, chicken siomai cream dory and the American ham glazed with thick pineapple-honey sauce. It was delicious, that I came back to the buffet table and tried other cuisines.

Being an avid fan of Kimbap and California Maki, I grabbed some of it together with fresh and uncooked fish meat (Sushi or sashimi? Gaaah). I even used chopsticks to have this authentic Asian feel. And boy, I almost forgot how to eat using chopsticks!

For my dessert, I had an avocado parfait, chocolate cheese cake and Brazo de Mercedes. The desserts were not too bland and not too sweet. It was… perfect and I really loved it.

And oh, guests would also love to try their unlimited Halo-halo, one of Philippines’ famous dessert treats! One can also try different pastas – Bolognese, Carbonara, Spaghetti, Fettuccini and a whole lot more. All you have to do is to ask for your preferred pasta meal and the chef to cook it for you.

  1. Time to save some moolah for this one heck of a gastronomic pleasure.

I have a question. Do I need to learn how to fine dine? I'm not really a sosyalera kasi, but I would love to try it here just for the sake of food and experience.

  3. @Katrina - No, you don't need to learn how to 'fine dine'. I'm not a sosyal type of person (but I know how to blend in... loljk). Basta, wear smart casual lang kasi usually these restaurants won't allow guests to enter the restaurant premises if you're wearing short sleeves or slippers.

@Gay: Oh yeah! Sky flakes talaga!!! :D

  5. Hello Muffin! Unfortunately, when I went there to eat dinner, they didn't serve tahong and calamares. Oh gosh, CALAMARES! But I believe they serve these dishes occasionally. :)
