Where to Stay: Metropolis Suites

Hotels are sprouting like mushrooms in some major cities of the country, including Davao. But most of them do not cater the needs of the travelers; even the basic needs such as tissue papers, toothpastes and towels!

But there's a particular hotel in Davao which offers the basic needs of a traveler. What's more? This charming new hotel offers luxurious services at a reasonable price!

Upon entering the hotel, I was amazed by its ambiance. The warm and earth colors of its interior was really delightful. It had a homey feel! One wouldn't resist of just staying there at the lobby for a very long time. The same color scheme was applied in their rooms. It had five types of it namely Executive Suite, Deluxe Suite, Matrimonial Suite, Standard Trio Suite and the Standard Duo Suite - all of which are air-conditioned.

LOL. Executive Suite's kitchen!

The Executive Suite is the biggest of the five and has two rooms in it - the master's bedroom and the kiddie's bedroom. A kitchen and a comfy lounge separate the two rooms. The Deluxe Suite offers a queen-sized bed and one solo bed along with a coffee table. The Matrimonial Suite is recommended for couples for it had one queen-sized bed and a coffee table. The Standard Trio and Duo Suite offer three solo and two solo beds respectively, perfect for budget travelers who wish to save money whilst experiencing the comfort comparable to a five-star hotel.

What's more? All rooms are equipped with a flat screen 32" LCD TV with cable and a hot and cold shower with tub. Guests could also avail their free breakfast and drinks of their choice. Internet connection is accessible through Cafe Aurora located near the lobby of the hotel. More so, you can avail their laundry services if you have dirty clothes with you.

Davao Bloggers!

Metropolis Suites also have two function rooms, perfect for business meetings, parties and other occasions. It has two 32" LCD TV with a state-of-the-art sound system. The Davao Bloggers' Black and White Christmas Party was held there and we all had fun!

The hotel is located at Cabaguio Avenue cor. Macopa Street (right in front of Merco). It's a minute away from Southern Philippines Medical Center, 10 minutes away from Davao International Airport and 15 minutes away from downtown Davao.

INSIDER'S TIP: Try their coffee with sili. Tastes so great!

    1. Hey! I think they are still constructing their website as of this moment. As far as I can remember, the cheapest room is about a thousand bucks. The most expensive one is at three thousand pesos. :)
