Packing for a Party: Fun on the Road

There’s nothing like a vacation with your friends where you can really let your hair down. Visiting a top party destination like Ibiza, Magaluf or Cancun gives you the chance to mingle with literally thousands of other people who are out to have a good time, with gorgeous beaches on which to chill out in the daytime and hot clubs where you can dance through the night. In a place like this, you’ll want to look your best, and you’ll want to have everything planned so you don’t run short of anything you need. That way you can just kick back and focus on enjoying yourself.

Daywear

While you’ll want to ensure you look good all the time, daywear should also be comfortable and flexible enough for travelling in or for taking part in spontaneous physical activities like boating or volleyball. Lightweight tops, short skirts, shorts and sundresses are the most popular choices, with flip-flops for walking around, though it’s also worth packing a good pair of breathable canvas shoes if you think you might be spending a lot of time on your feet. A broad-brimmed hat is a good idea to protect you for the sun, but of course you’ll also want your shades.

Beachwear

Bikinis are still the in thing on the beach and they have never been quite as skimpy, but don’t worry, if you’re shy about this you can wear a long t-shirt over the top or wrap your legs in a brightly colored sarong. You’ll need a big towel with which to mark out your territory and you mustn’t forget that other beach essential, sunscreen. Lots of women accessorize on the beach with jewelry - long, dangly strings of beads and big earrings are a favorite.

A touch of glamour

In the evenings you’ll want to feel sexy from head to toe, so pick out your most exciting underwear or go online and find adult costumes at lingerie diva. Choose outerwear you can dance in and at least one outfit classy enough for high-end restaurants, but don’t be afraid to go glam, with strappy sandals and lots of jewelry. When it comes to make-up, focus on mascara and lipstick—things that won’t come off when you perspire!

Practical considerations

Because you’ll want to carry your essential gear around it’s wise to pack a couple of different sizes of floppy bags. If you can’t access music on your phone, bring an MP3 player, and speakers (and headphones if your friends don’t share your tastes). You’ll also want books for the beach or poolside, a first aid kit in case of accident, and condoms just in case. Make sure you remember your travel documents, insurance documents and any medication you need.

Getting your packing organized a few days before you go will mean you’re less likely to forget things due to last minute excitement. Then you can get on that plane and jet off to have the time of your life!
