Eat your ‘meat’ out: K Steak Unlimited

I won’t deny this. I have a big appetite. A very big appetite.

Well, it doesn’t show, considering that I looked like a health buff who’s only a hundred and ten pounds (sarcasm intended). I have been working out for a month already and I can really say that my appetite’s getting bigger and bigger as days go by.

For weeks, I was craving for an all-meat buffet.

Last Monday, my gastronomic need of an all-meat meal was finally answered.

I together with the food and lifestyle writers from the Davao Bloggers were the first one to try an unlimited steak meal. Yes, you heard it right, unlimited steak – pork, beef and cream dory. Owned and managed by classmates and best friends Kevin Nifras, Jose Tabbada, and Beda Matayabas, K Steak Unlimited is said to be Davao’s first steak buffet restaurant.

The Meaty Experience

Jesse, Chard and I arrived at K Steak Unlimited thirty minutes after seven. Located at Loreto cor. Macopa Street of Juna Subdivision, the restaurant offers not just unlimited steak, but also pork and beans, beef caldereta, fresh lumpia, fried lumpia, creamy spaghetti, caesar salad and even fruit desserts.
As we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the warm and hospitable smile of the waiter (we didn’t have an idea that he was one of the owners too). The place was comfortable and has a seating capacity of 50 people. Also, we had the chance to watch how the meats were prepared and grilled by the chef through a glass window. That was one of the unique features of the restaurant.

Their grilled pork, beef and fish dipped with their tangy barbeque sauce tasted good. It was one of the sumptuous meals I have ever had this year. I even tried their creamy spaghetti, fresh lumpia and beef caldereta and all were delicious. It really satisfied my big appetite.

True enough, the restaurant had exceeded some of my expectations – the location, the interior design of the restaurant, the warm and hospitable services of the restaurant and of course, their unlimited steak.
