Hey Boss! Barbeque?

If you are a keen observer, you will notice that there are LOTS of chicken and pork barbeque restaurants here in Davao City. It's pretty obvious that Davaoeños really love to eat those grilled goods. Sa walay pag duha-duha!

And for the last destination of the first day of Sooo Pinoy Food Trip Davao, we invaded the Damosa-Lanang branch of Barbeque Boss.

Dine at Montmartre Cafe of Grand Regal Hotel

After a sumptuous merienda at Dencio's Kamayan, we hopped in our designated vans and drove all the way to the Grand Regal Hotel, which is just five minutes away. My companions from Manila even complained that the ride was too short and they were expecting a 30-40 minute ride from Dencio's. Palibasa, busog pa kami, puno pa ang mga compartments ng tiyan namin!

But it's not an excuse though since this is just the beginning of our gluttonous affair!

Sooo Pinoy Food Trip: Dencio's Kamayan

I thought that the Davao Food Appreciation Tour would be the first and the last food tour for this year. I never anticipated that once again, after one month, I'd have my second food trip experience together with other members of media from different points of the country!

And the first stop of our Sooo Pinoy Food Trip was Dencio's Kamayan near Fortune Homes, Lanang, Davao City.

Where To Stay in Clark: Clearwater Resort and Country Club

Part of the itinerary of my first ever solo trip was to stay at Clearwater Resort and Country Club with Laken and Brenna at Clark, Pampanga.

Serene. Calm.

Frankly, I really thought that it's just an ordinary hotel along Clark and I was not really expecting grand or something. But when I woke up, I realized that this place was indeed a paradise.

A Quick Visit to Baguio City and La Trinidad

Baguio City, as well as La Trinidad, Benguet, has never been part of my itinerary for my first ever solo trip (which eventually became unsuccessful). I was actually planning to explore Alaminos, Bolinao and some parts of La Union. But because Mean had to visit Baguio for her job interview, I decided to just tag along. And besides, I have never been to Baguio and La Trinidad.

From Dagupan City, it took us two and a half hours before reaching the summer capital of the Philippines.

Why Solo Traveling Is Not For Me

I have been traveling around the country sans the presence of my guardians for almost a year already. And thanks to my freelance lifestyle, I can freely travel without worrying my working schedule. Talking about the beauty of being a freelancer. I was fortunate enough to meet awesome people along the road. It will always be an opportunity to travel with them and I couldn't be thankful enough.
