A lot have been curious about my style in traveling. Since I have a lot of time to kill (meh, to be honest, I am procrastinating), I am going to share some thoughts about my hotel preferences.

Day 2 - Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia

Dear Diary,

My friends woke me up at around 7AM. Still groggy, I tried my best to open my eyes. Now that I'm on a vacation, I shouldn't waste much time to make the most out of my trip. We ate breakfast at Casuarina Hotel, located a few meters away from our hostel.

Then, we checked out and boarded the 16A bus. For only 1.00 Rm, this is the cheapest ride to downtown Kota Kinabalu. Armed with maps and sheer determination, we explored downtown KK and finally found a place that we can confidently call 'home'.

As we continued in our Sooo Pinoy Davao Food Trip, our next destination was The Ritz Hotel of Garden Oasis where sumptuous Filipino treats await us.

After attending an event at Marco Polo Hotel, Jesse, Ate Leah and I went back to the Sooo Pinoy Davao Food Trip event. Our next stop was the D' Leonor Hotel near Pryce Tower and we were going to try their famous Crispy Fried Chicken, Fiesta Lapu-Lapu and their creamy Leche Flan.

After a sumptuous merienda at Dencio's Kamayan, we hopped in our designated vans and drove all the way to the Grand Regal Hotel, which is just five minutes away. My companions from Manila even complained that the ride was too short and they were expecting a 30-40 minute ride from Dencio's. Palibasa, busog pa kami, puno pa ang mga compartments ng tiyan namin!

But it's not an excuse though since this is just the beginning of our gluttonous affair!

Where To Stay in Clark: Clearwater Resort and Country Club

Part of the itinerary of my first ever solo trip was to stay at Clearwater Resort and Country Club with Laken and Brenna at Clark, Pampanga.

Serene. Calm.

Frankly, I really thought that it's just an ordinary hotel along Clark and I was not really expecting grand or something. But when I woke up, I realized that this place was indeed a paradise.

After taking photos of Siquijor's clean pier, we walked all the way to the main highway of Siquijor. And just what we have expected, we were greeted with Traysikolmamsers and Mamsertwopiptylangposaakins, instead of the usual "Good afternoon, welcome to Siquijor!". When Robbie told one of the drivers that we're going to the End of The World, Ate Gail and I thought that he was just joking.

No, he was dead serious that time! True enough, our next destination was End of the World... guesthouse!
