How to Travel America the Right Way

For hundreds of years, America has been attracting people from all over the globe to its shores. Whether it be for sweeping beaches, immense mountain structures, or its bustling cities, each state offers something that no other can compete with, each holding its own unique culture, history, and collection of attractions. Due to its sheer size, it can often leave people feeling overwhelmed about how they can make the most of their time there, and travel to America in the right way. Luckily, there are lots of helpful hints and tricks that countless travelers have offered over the years, which aim to make your time here run smoothly.

The West Coast

Home to some of the country’s largest states, the West Coast is often noted for its sweeping beaches in Southern California and the towering North Cascade mountains of Washington that work their way up to the Canadian border. If you are hoping to take in some breath-taking scenery, then it’s best to hire a car and not book every hotel ahead of your first one. This is because you will find yourself falling in love with unexpected locations as you wind through the wilderness, where you may find you want to stay longer than you planned.

The Midwest

Over the years, the Midwest has become one of the most reliable vacation destinations. Rolling farmland and the famous Great Lakes mean it offers some of the best family-oriented and romantic stop-offs for people traveling from one coast to the other. For unique activities, it’s best to visit French Lick West Baden in Indiana, where fall colors light up the countryside, and to catch some amazing views, stop off at some of Lake Michigan’s quieter points after traveling through the bright lights of Chicago.

The East Coast

Aside from its iconic New England falls, the East Coast is primarily known for one thing: its bustling metropolises. New York and Boston are merely two of these, but they are a stop on your tour that cannot be missed. Seeing Broadway shows, looking up at spiraling skyscrapers, and indulging in classic street food are only a few of the amazing memories travelers come away with after visiting. If cityscapes don’t fit into your dream trip, make sure you visit Martha’s Vineyard for relaxing evenings filled with seaside panoramas, or perhaps a more adventurous option is for you. If this is the case be sure to go hiking through Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, North Carolina.

The South

The birthplace of country music, and famed for year-round sun, The South is one of the largest regions in America, which means it can be hard to fit in all you want to do. Any tour here should kick off in Austin, where you can then go on to venture into the surrounding Texas Hill Country for a unique hiking experience. Tropical beaches can be found in Florida, while mountain settings are rife in North Carolina. Mostly, you should make sure to try the food in New Orleans, which combines a rich history and varied culture in each bite.
