One does not need to travel to very far places just to experience cloud nine. Those who are residing in the island of Luzon will definitely have the chance to experience the thrill and excitement brought about by the big waves of Baler, Aurora.
"Surfing has never been this fun", claimed my buddies who tried it when we went there a few weeks ago.
The whole coastal area of Baler, Aurora enjoys consistent big waves as it faces Pacific Ocean. Its biggest are usually recorded during the monsoon months. Surfers all around the world visit Baler, Aurora to experience its big waves. When we visited Baler, Aurora last month, there were lots of surf shops offering surfing lessons for thrill-seekers.
Briefing. |
We found a surfing shop that offered surfing lessons and board rentals for only Php 350. With that amount, one can already avail an hour worth of surfing lessons plus a free rental of surfboard.
Before surfing, a local surfer will teach you the right way to do it. I tell you that it's not an easy task so you have to pay attention with the lesson (chos, kung makapagsalita akala mo naka try na!). Don't worry, they will always guide you when you're on the water. Andrew, Cai, Brenna and Jesse tried it while yours truly, Chino, Robbie and Jerome were all tired and drained brought about by our trekking at Dimutabo Falls.
Brenna, riding a rocket... LOL |
Go Jesse! |
Cai, posing her infectious smile before slipping. |
Drew, trying to keep his balance. |
After sipping my mixed fruit shake, I decided to take some photos of them doing the exciting water activity. I was able to witness and snap their priceless moments. It was pretty obvious that they enjoyed surfing.
Surfing is one of the most famous attractions in Baler, Aurora. The whole stretch of Sabang Beach is filled with surfing shops, restaurants and inns. I may not have the guts to try it during that day, but surfing is in my bucket list. I promise that I'll try it either in Dahican in Mati, Davao Oriental or in Siargao in Surigao.
Isang malaking good luck for me.
Ayun oh! Humahabol sa posts. Lol.

ReplyDeleteDue to its ease of learning compared to conventional surfing, SUP has become more and more popular among regular people. They will be standing and remaining there after a little session. Paddle for paddle board
