Quick Eats: Ironwood Hotel Tacloban

Friday night is always my me time. Ever since I reside independently here in Tacloban City, I would always go out of the house and look for some good place to eat. Being alone in restaurants, coffee shops, malls, and in the movie house surrounded by people whom I barely know doesn't bother me at all.

I've been doing this for a long time ever since I moved here two years ago but laziness took a toll on me because I'm not a huge fan of uploading photos manually. Thank God for Google Photos, life got easier.

There's this new hotel in town. Ironwood Hotel is a boutique hotel located at the heart of Tacloban City. I have read several reviews about the hotel's restaurant and they all scream the same thing: It's fucking delicious and worth the price. Pardon my French.

Since I'm eating alone, I only ordered two meals: barbecue baby back ribs (Solo size, Php 250), and grilled chicken bruschetta (Php 150).

Barbecue Baby Back Ribs (Php 250)

Grilled Chicken Bruschetta (Php 150)

The grilled chicken bruschetta was surprisingly good. The chicken was grilled into perfection and I loved how the flavors played inside my palate - salty and sweet. I ate it with so much gusto. Next dish: barbecue baby back ribs.  I was expecting that the serving of their barbecue baby back ribs would be small. Well, it wasn't. The serving size was actually good for two people. You can just imagine how happy I was that time. Lol. The meat was soft and juicy, and the sauce was really delicious.

I only paid Php 495, service charge and a can of coke included. Not bad for two meals. I'd definitely go back there and try their roasted bone marrow. Yum!
