DFAT Day 2: Southern Food Trip

Day 2 of Davao Food Appreciation Tour.

0540 Eric's phone rang. It was Mica.

0610 Woke up and saw Mica at the other side of the room. Yahoo!

0700 Robbie was still asleep when all of the sudden Ate Ria called; they were already at the lobby. All of the sudden, Rob jumped from his bed, changed his clothes and was good to go. The funny thing was, he was the first one to sleep the night before and he was the LAST one to get up. Elle-oh-elle.

0830 We boarded the van after eating breakfast at McDo Matina. Next destination: Digos City, Davao del Sur.

0945 Arrived at Fiesta Sorpresa on time. It is a new restaurant in Digos City that offers Filipino dishes. My favorite dishes were the following: authentic Ilocano Bagnet, Sweet and Spicy Wings, Sinampalokang Manok, Fresh Lumpia and Rellenong Bangus.

Nomnomnom.com!

1100 Left Fiesta Sorpresa and instructed the driver to drive all the way to Brgy. Kapatagan, Digos, Davao del Sur.

1200 ZzzzzzzzzZzzzzzzzZzzzzzz

1245 Finally arrived at Mount Apo Highlands Resort! The ride was turbulent but upon arrival, the place was definitely a great place to stay with your family or friends. The weather that time was mild; you won't feel the heat of the sun.

1330 Took some photos for my Lookbook account. More details about this look here.

What I wore during that day

1345 Went to Mount Apo Hillside, a five minute drive from highlands. I've already been to this place last February and I really missed this resort. The participants went to see the Civet cats while me, Mark, Robbie and Mica went to the other side of the resort to shoot more photos. Yes, we were certified camwhores.

Obligatory photo with the celebrity from Chiang Mai!

1425 Tried their Altura Coffee. Nomnomnom. Foursquare Check-in: Starbucks Kapatagan. Just kidding!

1500 Drove all the way to Agong House. When me, Mark and Juy went there last February, the weather was bad. We didn't get the chance to explore the whole park which was designed by Davao-based artist, Kublai Milan. We were all stunned by Kublai's talent.

Mica was so happy!

Lonely horse.

1610 Bye Kapatagan!

1620 - 1810 ZzzzzZzzzzzZzzzz-ed inside the van.

1830 Arrived at SM City Davao Annex. It's dinner time! Piyesta KTV and Resto Bar is a Filipino KTV Restaurant. Fact: Ms. Donna Congson, the owner of Piyesta KTV and Resto Bar, is also a blogger! She is currently an active member of Soccsksargen Bloggers!

Pinoy food is LOVE.

This restaurant serves Filipino dishes. My personal favorites are: Kura Sticks - Siling tagalog stuffed with cheese and ground beef, Fried Chicken, Pansit Guisado, Deep Fried Tilapia, Breaded Pork Chop and Fried Lumpia. You can also sing your heart out at one of their KTV rooms at an affordable rate!

And if you're into alcoholic drinks, try their Sungka Shots and Dama Shots. Drinking has never been that fun!

For dessert, try their own version of Knicker Bucker.

2100 Homebound.

The second day of DFAT was even more intense! Pinoy Food overload!

Up Next: DFAT DAY 3. Teaser: We toured the islands of Samal and Talikud.
